Nashville, TN - December 15, 2010 - On the heels of singer/songwriter Holly Starr's sophomore project, Tapestry, Starr has announced that she has signed a distribution deal with Save The City Records/Provident-Integrity. Tapestry, which released digitally this fall, will physically release to retail courtesy of Save The City Records March 1st, 2011.
"Holly is a wonderful new artist that shares our vision for ministry and excellence in craft," exclaims Derek Hoiem, President, Save The City Records. "She has already appeared on many stages and has been making a difference in people's lives all across the country. We are ecstatic to support Holly in bringing her music to the marketplace."
Tapestry, which initially hit the digital marketplace on October 19th, has already garnered coverage in major outlets and reached No. 11 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel Charts. Its first radio hit, "Undertow," is currently at CHR, and the next single "Psalm 23" will be released January 21st to AC and INSP radio. Additionally, "I'll Watch You Dance" will be offered as the free download single at iTickets.com from December 21 through January 4th.
ABOUT HOLLY STARR:
Growing up on a farm in Washington state, Starr learned about hard work and long hours, and she continues to prefer this method in her music ministry over the spotlight. At just 19 years old, she has become an established songwriter, has shared the stage with country superstar LeAnn Rimes, and has performed at numerous major festivals and churches across the nation where she continues to build her solid fanbase.
Tapestry is Holly Starr's sophomore release and was produced by Dove Award-winning Rusty Varenkamp (Tenth Avenue North, Meredith Andrews). Save The City Records is also home to artists such as Circleslide, Byron "Mr. Talkbox" Chambers, Benjiman, and Brandon Bee. Bee produced Embraced, Starr's first full-length project.
